update on worship request from elders

Two days ago I posted a request from the elders about consolidating our worship services from two to one. There were a lot who expressed support for that proposal with a simple yes, but there were also many who expressed concern about the style of the service. While I can do my best to make it "fit" for both those who want more contemporary style as well as those who want more traditional liturgy, both sides are afraid, and rightly so, that there won't be enough of either. Some won't like the "loud" videos and contemporary songs. Others won't like the "boring" hymns that are too hard to sing. Some will not like the chanting and liturgy, others will love it. Some will detest the silly kids songs we'll do. Others will think they are the greatest thing in the world. The list goes on and on.
All that being said, I would appreciate more discussion and feedback on the matter.
I imagine that quite a few people, ME INCLUDED, love it all and like to go to all the services. I have often said that if I knew people would show up I'd have worship every day in every style imaginable. I just love to worship! I love to preach! I love to sing! I love confessing my sins before God and receiving absolution. I love taking the Lord's Supper. Frankly I don't care what form or style it is. I love it all! I have no preference. I'll do a worship service every hour on a Sunday if it means getting more people to enjoy worshiping the Lord like I do and getting everyone to come to worship. If I knew going to one service would get more people to church I'd do that. I don't think that'll happen though.
Anyway, please give me more feedback either by simply commenting or by messaging. Peace be with you all! I love you all!
