DEVOTION:  "I will save you from the hands of the wicked and redeem you from the grasp of the cruel."  declares the Lord.  Jeremiah 15:21

Jeremiah had a tough job to do.  It was a thankless task, one for which he would be beaten, thrown into a cistern, ridiculed, scorned, and even hunted down.  Yet it was God's will that he go and preach law and repentance to the people of Judah.  It was his will that he do this even though it was extremely hard.

A lot of you who read this devotion are older people.  You have lived your lives and want to enjoy retirement.  Yet, the Lord might still have something "hard" for you to do.  It may be to go and talk to an adult child about their lifestyle.  It may be helping to raise your grandkids more than you expected.  It may be going to someone that you have sinned against and ask for forgiveness.

Whatever it is, know that when you do the Lord's will, Lord will "save you from the hands of the wicked and redeem you from the grasp of the cruel."  He already has and he will continue to do so all the way to eternal life.

Prayer: Lord God help me to do your will even when it is difficult.  Amen.

TUESDAY'S QUIZ:  What happened to the linen belt that Jeremiah hid in a crevice in the rocks at Perath and what did it mean?   The Lord told him to go hide it in a crevice in the rocks.  The pride of Judah would be rendered useless as was the belt.

Sam Hargrove- Army- 2 Lieutenant- Ft Rucker, Alabama, will be going through helicopter flight school and other training

David Mincemeyer- Army- Army Specialist- Ft. Carson, CO

Jon Rahn- Navy- Hawaii, not sure of his rank at this time

Alex Walters- Navy- E4- Guam

Ryan Woolf- Air Force- Airman 1st Class- Buckley Air Force Base, near Denver, CO

If there are more out there that I just don't know about, please let me know, and I will include him/her on the list.

Also, if you would like your family member or friend included in this list, please reply to this email with all the information!

Pray for these guys.  Some of these guys are in harm's way right now, others are training to put themselves in harm's way.  All of them have volunteered to serve and protect their country (which is you).
