DEVOTION: Philippians 3:17-4:1 English Standard Version (ESV)

17 Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us. 18 For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. 19 Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things. 20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

Therefore, my brothers,[a] whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved.

YESTERDAY'S QUIZ:. How did the Israelites capture and take over the city of Jericho? The Israelites were to take the Ark of the Covenant with seven priests with seven rams horns nd march around Jericho one time quietly for 6 days. On the seventh day they were to walk around 7 times. Then the priests were to blow the horns and when the people would hear the trumpets they were to shout with a great shout and the walls of Jericho fell down.  They rushed in and destroyed everything except all silver and gold and vessels of bronze and iron to be placed in the Lord's treasury.

I don't say it enough, but thank you, Don Nolte, for taking the time every day to answer these questions so that I only have to copy and paste them into the daily email!
