Scott funeral luncheon help needed THIS THURSDAY, APRIL 19 (correction from previous email)

The FUNERAL AND LUNCHEON IS THIS THURSDAY, APRIL 19!!  (In the previous email it had a wrong date of the 26th.)

Please bring your dishes in either the night before, Wednesday night, or that morning, Thursday morning.

Ladies Aid will serve a luncheon following Teresa Scott's  funeral at St. John's on Thursday, April 19.  Funeral, 11 am, followed by a run to cemetery with luncheon at 1:30 pm.

We need donations of salads, vegetables, desserts and starchy side dishes.

If you would like to donate a dish please call Marilyn Foster @ 636-456-4195; Joan Sexton, 636-456-5437 or Nancy Peterson, 660-619-8474.

We could use some help in setting up for the luncheon and with clean up after the luncheon.  Perhaps several of our PALS would be able to volunteer.  Please let me know by e-mail,  lindacallies@centurylink.net  or call me at 636-456-4228.

We appreciate anything you can do to help.

May God bless your day, Linda Callies

Psalm 23 English Standard Version (ESV)

The Lord Is My Shepherd

A Psalm of David.

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
    He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
[a]
    He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
[b]
    for his name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,[c]
    I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
    your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
Surely[d] goodness and mercy[e] shall follow me
    all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell
[f] in the house of the Lord
    forever.[g]
