In planning for a smooth succession into the future, Lutherans For Life seeks a director for Word of Hope to begin “learning the ropes” and building relationships that are so vital to this ministry. This position will start as part time, averaging 10 hours per week, and increasing as the need dictates.
If you are interested in this rewarding and multifaceted role, please consult the job description online and then submit your resume and cover letter to Scott Licht, national director of Lutherans For Life, at email@example.com.
Stephen Ministry has been a wonderful part of St. John's for 13 years now. We've had the same Stephen Leaders for most of that time. They've done a fantastic job considering their tenure is only supposed to be three years, five at the most
We need some new ones to re-energize and regrow this ministry.
Stephen Leader training is coming up April 23-29 at the Renaissance Hotel in St. Louis (near the airport).
If you'd like to be a part of this and grow this ministry at St. John's please let me know. The training is paid for. If you want to stay there you'll have to pay for that, but the commute is easy if you choose not to.
This is a very important ministry that tons of folks at St. Johns have benefitted from.

The Dr. said that everything went well with my surgery. Still feeling a little bit woozy this evening. Trying to adjust to only use my left hand, as my right arm and hand are in a sling for the time being and will be indefinitely for the next 2 weeks until I see the doctor again. Thank you for the prayers and wishes.

The mission of St. John's Lutheran Church is to preach the Word of God in its purity and to teach this Word to all people. We do so through the means God has given us, the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion.
What We Believe
The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod accepts the Scriptures as the inspired and inerrant Word of God, and subscribes unconditionally to all the symbolical books of the Evangelical Lutheran Church as a true and unadulterated statement and exposition of the Word of God.
We accept the Confessions because they are drawn from the Word of God and on that account regard their doctrinal content as a true and binding exposition of Holy Scripture and as authoritative for all pastors, congregations and other rostered church workers of The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
