Lutherans are making long-term
hurricane recovery possible

As the news reports become fewer, headlines fade and people grow weary of hearing about catastrophes, Synod and district efforts will continue toward long-term recovery and care for the victims of Harvey and Irma ... and perhaps Maria.

As LCMS World Relief and Human Care and its LCMS Disaster Response work with affected districts, the ongoing compassion being expressed across the Synod keeps the recovery efforts moving for the victims of these consecutive disasters.

LCMS Disaster Response remains committed to supporting affected districts and their church communities during the long road to recovery and healing.

Please note the resources provided below, which include an updated, downloadable bulletin insert. Additional information about the Synod's response, and the difference your gifts make, will be available over the weeks and months ahead at lcms.org, on the Synod's social-media outlets, and in our official periodicals and other publications.

Quote:

"We are charged to help. We are charged to share God's love. We need to care for [the hurricane victims] like Jesus would have us do." — Volunteer Marla Kindt, Concordia Lutheran Church, Kirkwood, Mo.
