LERT (Lutheran Early Response Team) Training

In our Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, we have what are called "Lutheran Early Response Teams".   These are teams of people who have been trained and are ready to respond to a disaster to help with the first efforts of relief help, clean up, and rebuilding.   There are LERT teams all over the United States,, and teams are deployed wherever there is need.  There was a team that went down to Perryville after the tornado hit there, and there was at least one team that was down in south county during and after the floods.

I would like some members of St. John's to be a part of a LERT team or even, if it works out, to have our own team.  Many churches do.

There is a LERT certification training coming up on October 21 at Immanuel, Wentzville.  Registration is at 8:30 and the training goes from 9am-3pm.

I will be going to the training.  If you'd like to go, please reply to this email.  THANKS
