Pastor (and maybe others) doing the ice bucket challenge on Sunday after 11am worship

If you haven't heard or read on Facebook already, I will be doing the ice bucket challenge on Sunday after the late service.

There have been reports and blogs written that many research organizations connected with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) support embryonic stem cell research which destroys embryos (very young babies).  Let it be known that I don't support embryonic stem cell research of any kind, and I will not be giving my money to any of those organizations.

That being said, I do know many people who have suffered and died from ALS, and so I do support ethical research to find a cure for it. I will give my money to Team Gleason an ALS charity that doesn't use stem cell research when I do the ice bucket challenge after the 11am service on Sunday!

And I will call out three others, as is the tradition, to do it too.  (Not sure who I will call out.  It could be you!)
