Some people think there is just no way they could ever speak up and tell someone about Jesus. Some think they are just too shy. Others think that because they can't get out and go anywhere that they are hindered in their ability to care for people and share the gospel. Still others, because they are worried about what people will think about them, don't do it. There are hundreds of reasons that Christians often give for not sharing the gospel. NONE OF THEM ARE GOOD ONES!
Paul was taken as a prisoner to Rome. On the way he was shipwrecked and almost died. He could have sulked away and just quit. He didn't. Instead he proclaimed the gospel to the natives on the island of Malta, one of the first Christian churches was on that island.
That still didn't get him free. He still went, as a prisoner under house arrest, to Rome. You would have thought that this would have driven him into depression and that he would have quit. Yet, for two years he proclaimed the kingdom of God in his house. People came from everywhere to hear him and to be taught about the good news by him. Thousands of people came to faith in Rome. And now today we see Rome as one of the biggest Christian places in the world.
Stop making excuses. Stop thinking that you can't do it. Stop saying that circumstances won't allow you. Stop having pity parties for yourself because you feel like your life is hard and terrible. Your job, your purpose is to love the Lord Jesus so much that you can't help but proclaim his kingdom despite the circumstances you are in.
Then realize that when you do share the gospel you will have such satisfaction and fulfillment that it will make your life more complete than anything else ever could. At the end the Lord Jesus will say to you, "Well done good and faithful servant. Come and take the place prepared for you in heaven!"
Let us pray: Lord God bless us as we proclaim your kingdom to the lost so that they will believe and join us in paradise. Amen.

YESTERDAY'S QUIZ: What happened to Paul when he entered the temple in Jerusalem for the last time? He was beaten and arrested. (Some say he did it on purpose. Others say he went directly against the Holy Spirit who had warned him not to do it.)
Moral of the story: Always listen to the Holy Spirit!
