Woo-hoo! Seems like we've got our Jonas back. He's talking and eating more and more, little by little. They are taking him off the morphine altogether and today is the last day they will give him TPN (nutritition in his IV). Friday is his last day of antibiotics. The team of doctors say he should be out of the hospital by Sunday, if he is gaining weight and has sufficient hydration.
He really does seem like a new man, but says he doesn't want any company. It brought years to his eyes when we talked about having one or two of his peers visit. Upon prying, he divulged that it is hard to look at them right now all healthy...and listen to the cool stuff they are doing, while he can't. Usually it doesn't bother him, but right now it does. He said its just better right now not to think about that. He did admit it that would be nice to see a few adults. Short visits, 15 minutes or so and a hug or two. . = )

I'll wait till he gets home, which won't be long now. I have a bunch of fossils that we found in Austin...and I'll bring a fossil book , so we can identify them.
Hugs will be given, too!
