Faith Legacy Memories
Submitted by: Jennifer Freudenburg, Project Manager for the Concordia Center for the Family
Located on the campus of Concordia University in Ann Arbor, MI

Each of us has so many memories of our own personal family life growing up. Some of those memories may be sweet ones and treasured, some may have been painful, some are inconsequential, and some of the memories have been life changing.

What are the family faith memories you have from your childhood and what are you are leaving as a legacy for your children? What will the children remember from your home about how the faith was shared? These are the life changing memories – either for the good or the bad. We all want our children to remember us, and have good memories about things growing up, but how are we doing at leaving a faith legacy of memories? This is the Biblical mandate found in Deut. 6:4-9…we are to impress God's love, knowledge and will on our children's hearts. This is not just a nice thing to do, but it is commanded by God! Here is where your story begins. May it be a story of faith. Why not start TODAY with just one new faith related memory! Just take one step! Read more . . .
