DEVOTION:  Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.  Sing to him, sing praise to him, tell of all his wonderful acts.  Psalm 105:1-2

CHRIST IS RISEN!

When you think of all the things you have and all of the ways you've been blessed,  you should be give thanks to the Lord, call on his name, and make known among the nations all that he has done CONSTANTLY!

If you're like me though you probably have taken the Lord's gifts for granted lately.  You just think that it is always going to be there.  You just forget that even your very breath comes from God.  He brought you into this world and he can take you out.   You just forgot that just three days ago you celebrated the FACT that Jesus is risen from the dead and lives and reigns in you.

Why does God want you to do that?  Why does he want you to give thanks to him and proclaim all that he has done?  It is for that very reason.  If we don't, we forget about him and when we forget about him things start to go wrong.  Then, after things have gone wrong, and we feel like we are lost, we begin to wonder what happened?  We ask ourselves what's wrong.  The answer is so clear!  We've forgotten God.

I urge you today to give thanks to the Lord, to call on his name, and to make known among everyone you know what he has done for your own good.  It will help you to have peace knowing that God is doing great things for you and through you, that he is in charge, and that he loves you.

Let us pray:  Lord God, we thank you for giving us all we need to support this body and life.  We thank you for giving us your Son, Jesus who died and rose that we might live forever.  We ask that you would bless us today with all your gifts, so that we may proclaim your name in all the earth.  Amen.
